Bus Schedule

In the next few weeks there will be quite a few meetings in the state of Massachusetts to determine what, if any winter athletic offerings will be possible. If you have an desire or intent to participate, please complete this winter interest athletic survey.

The YES club is organizing a trash cleanup event next Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020! If you can, between the times 11 - 5 pickup some trash around your neighborhood! Make sure that you are following all COVID Protocol (gloves, masks, no bag sharing, hand washing). Also be careful crossing streets and being on the street. Do not enter anyone's yard or knock on doors etc.

The following list includes the co-curricular offerings we are planning to be able to offer at Mount Greylock this school year. This list may be adjusted as regulations change and as organizations are added through student proposal. This list will also be published on the school website. 

Update: Changes made to timeline | Student elections are around the corner. Consider running for a seat on the Student Council or School Council or role as a Class Officer. Descriptions of these roles are available below.

Williams Fellows are currently offering support to MG students through a number of FREE programs:  Tues/Thurs After School Tutoring (2:30-4 pm) Sunday Evening Tutoring (7-8:30 pm ) Essay Support (self-scheduled with a Fellow ) Lunchtime & Directed Study DROP-IN writing and HW support (11am -12pm) on M/T/TH/F After School Writing Club (Mondays @ 4:30)

The schedule below is what we hope to use for the remainder of the athletic season. A reminder to students to load the back of the bus first and to wear your masks while waiting and riding. Please arrive to the bus station early and realize it may be a few minutes late. Coaches realize that student may arrive a few minutes late to practice if they are taking the bus.

Need help with an essay for school? Want feedback on your college essay? The Williams Center at Mount Greylock is offering both self-scheduled and "DROP IN" one-on-one writing support this semester. We encourage all MG students to email one of these four talented and dedicated Writing Fellows ANYTIME for essay support!

MG Writing Club (grades 7-12) and Students Organizing Change (grades 7-9) have already scheduled their first meetings of the year.   These two clubs are free, but students must SIGN UP on family ID which can be found on the clubs page of the school website. Mrs. Barrett will send the zoom link to all those registered in advance of the meetings. 

This week's additions and changes: Added a "Family Technology Troubleshooting" link : A google folder with a variety of resources for families to use to help navigate the technology used at MGRS. Added the Temporary COVID-Time Bell Schedule:  This is the class bell schedule we will use for our remote/hybrid learning time.

Please remember to fill out this survey.  We are requiring that all families formally state their intentions for the fall so that we may prepare for the beginning of school on September 16. Please complete one survey for each of the students living in your household no later than Friday, September 4, at noon.

The School Committee recently voted to approve a modified fall athletic program for Mount Greylock students.  These program options will help provide opportunities for students to be physically active in a safe, socially distanced and supervised environment. I have included the general concept of each available program for families to review.
