Thanks to strategic thinking last year, particularly from Finn Welch, the Peer Team redesigned its application process to be digital and hopefully both more thoughtful and efficient. During this year's Program of Study meetings with Mrs. Casalinova and Mrs. Maselli, members James Hetherington, Eva Myers, Laura Dupuis and Erin O'Keefe, shared perspectives about the Peer Team's role and challenges. Below is a letter to the sophomores and juniors from Peer Team advisor Mrs. Leitt about applying digitally this year. Please note – applications are due on Friday, March 27.

During the first two days of class in September, CS50 students participate in Puzzle Day. These puzzles have "nothing" to do with knowledge of computer science but rather they provide a good way to have students think outside the box by being collaborative with their peers and sometimes their families. There is another version that is released in the spring and this year it is entirely online. Mr. Price is sharing this news with his current AP Computer Science Principles students and wanted to share it more broadly.

Spring Drama Rehearsals will begin when students return to school and we have received word that gatherings of 25+ people are safely allowed.
The performances currently remain as scheduled May 15th and 16th, though a later date may be possible.
Depending on the amount of time students are able to rehearse, we will adjust the type/length of the show to provide students the opportunity to perform this spring.

The spring athletic season will begin on April 27th.
The final possible contest (tournament) will be on June 20th.
These dates will be adjusted based on any updated CDC recommendations.
No formal or informal practices or gatherings (with or without coach) can occur prior to the spring start date.
Details for each program (contest start dates, min/max contests, tournament eligibility and possibilities) are still being worked out by the MIAA Tournament Management Committee (TMC) and the Board of Directors (BOD).

Out of an abundance of caution for our students and faculty, and in tandem with all Berkshire County Schools, the Mount Greylock Regional School District (MGRSD) will be closed beginning Monday March 16. At present, we plan to re-open on Monday May 4.

Our schools remain at low risk, and based on current recommendations for K-12 schools by departments of health and the CDC, the Mount Greylock Regional School District will remain open. We are in continued close contact with our local and state boards of health, town leaders, as well as other Berkshire County school districts, and all are working together to make informed decisions in the best interest of our students, families and staff.
