Welcome to the 7th Grade Spanish level 1 course!
This year, as 7th graders you will learn some basic conversational Spanish as well as some of the cultural celebrations, traditions and perspectives from some of the many Spanish speaking cultures. You will gain an awareness of how the language works, some similarities and differences between English and Spanish and start to discover the patterns of the language. You will know how to greet people and cultural expectations when meeting someone. You will learn to introduce yourself and others, to talk about yourself, describe who you are, where you are from, your age, say what you like and what you like to do. You will also learn how to tell time, talk about the weather, describe a friend, talk about foods, your class schedule, where you go and when. You will gain an understanding of how to speak and write in Spanish and know how to look up words and utilize the grammatical structures you have learned on your own. I hope you enjoy this year's class on language and culture!
