Dear Mount Greylock Students, Parents, Guardians and Staff,
It is fast becoming the season when Mother Nature may begin to throw snowy or icy conditions at us that necessitate school delays, cancellations or early dismissals. Much goes into making snow day decisions, and we take the process very seriously. Our administrative team is in close contact with the town road crews, the bus company, and superintendents from other districts. If the weather is such that we need to cancel, delay or dismiss, we do our best to let you know by 6:00 am. On rare occasions, we make a call the night before.
In the event that we need to alter the school day due to weather, we will get the information out to you in a variety of ways. Our first posts will be to our Twitter account @MGMounties and onto our school website. We then send robocall phone messages to all households. You will also be able to find the pertinent information on all the local television, radio and news sites: WBRK, WUPE, WWLP-TV channel 22, WNYT, WTEN, WTRY/WPYX, The Berkshire Eagle, and iBerkshires.com.
As a reminder, if we call a two-hour delay, the buses will run their regular routes, just two hours later, and school will begin at 9:40 am.
