Here are the details....
Thinking On Our Feet: An Introduction to Improvisation
Feeling a bit cooped up at the end of the school year? Want to try some performing without the pressure of auditioning or memorizing lines? Come learn improvisation games that will help you think on your feet, and see how much you can create with no script, set, props, or costumes, and just using your energy and imagination!
Learning how to improvise is great training for anyone interested in performance of any kind, and though doing “improv” can lead to a lot of laughs, it’s not just about being funny—the skills you’ll learn from these games will help with public speaking, collaboration, problem-solving, and just feeling comfortable in new situations.
This workshop will meet after school from 3pm-5pm under the direction of Amanda Bell Goldmakher.
There is no cost for this activity, as it is funded by the Friends of the Arts. Students must register for the workshop through the co-curricular office of activities.
If you have any conflicts, please arrive with them written down on the first day!
