Lauren Jacobbe has been putting together a Peer Team Initiative that will take place this Friday, May 25th! This initiative stemmed from a research project that I believe she did in English, and she has been working hard on it ever since. Her idea centers around body image and portraying positive messages and self love. Her idea is called "Inside Out Day" in which students can wear their clothes inside out to signify that who you are on the inside is more important than what is on the outside. Lauren wants everyone to turn their insecurities around and embrace self love. This is accompanied by numerous posters throughout the building, all with positive body messages, and potentially a body image documentary during directed studies(We will keep you posted). We hope to implement this day and expand on it in coming years. I invite you to support Lauren, in wearing your clothes inside out, as well as encouraging your students to take part in this initiative as well. Lauren and other Peer Team members will be putting up a bulletin board as well. Please check it out!
