Mount Greylock is excited to be able to offer the winter training program - MG Off Season Athletic Training (MGOAT) again this year. Coach Gill and Coach Jutras will be advising and supervising the students this winter. This group will meet afterschool three-four days a week from 2:45 - 4:00pm. Students awaiting one of the 5:15pm buses will need to be in the library or lobby following the workout until the bus arrives.
MGOAT will begin next Thursday, November 14th and end on March 13th, the week prior to the spring sports season.
More information about the organization is provided within the registration on FamilyID.
In addition to the tradition weight room and fitness activities that will be offered throughout that time, there will be an Open Gym from 2:45 - 4:00pm each day that MGOAT meets until Monday, November 25th. This will likely be November 14, 15, 18, 19 and 21. Students are welcome to use this time and space to prepare for an upcoming season or get some exercise. There will not be organized activities, but an area with basketball hoops available and an area without. Students cannot be in the gym or weight room after school on days there is not MGOAT supervision or without registration.
The requirements for this organization are slightly different than past years.
All students must register online to be able to participate.
An MGOAT Release.pdf is also required for each student. This can be uploaded into the registration or provided to the school in hard copy.
Registration is required for students planning to participate the entire winter as well as those participating until their winter athletic season begins (open gym or weight room).
The cost for the full program is $50. This can be paid online or with a check delivered to the Main Office.
There is no cost to students participating until November 25th.
Please let me or one of the advisors know if you have any questions!
