Dear Mount Greylock High School Students,
The Student Council requests that you participate in the ratification process of the Mount Greylock Student Government Constitution by reviewing and voting with this ballot by Monday, March 15, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.

Under Article V, Section 2 of the Mount Greylock Student Government Constitution a "re-ratification of the constitution must occur at least once every three years." Last ratified in the 2017-2018 school year, ratification is necessary for the 2020-2021 school year.
Charged in our service to be transparent and serve as the students' council we have provided the following summary of amendments passed by the Student Council since the previous school-wide ratification:
Corrected minor grammatical errors
Replaced all instances of his/her with gender-neutral "their"
Adjusted several of the representatives and class officers responsibilities
Removed an empty Parliamentary Procedure Section
Removed a clause requiring students running for Student Council to attend one meeting prior to the election
Included "socioeconomic status" under aspects of office or membership which the student government and prohibits discrimination against and seeks to provide equal opportunity in office or membership regardless of.
Revised voting procedure to approval method voting (ballots will ask students to select ALL candidates they approve of)
