Good Afternoon Mount Greylock Students and Families,
I hope you and your family are well and taking good care.
Earlier this summer Governor Baker announced that all children aged 6 months or older who attend Massachusetts childcare, pre-school, kindergarten, k-12 schools, and/or colleges or universities must receive the influenza vaccine (the flu shot) by December 31, 2020. According to the Governor's August 19 press release, "The new vaccine requirement is an important step to reduce flu-related illness and the overall impact of respiratory illness during the COVID-19 pandemic."
The Governor's message continues, "Students will be expected to have received a flu vaccine by December 31, 2020, for the 2020-2021 influenza season, unless either a medical or religious exemption is provided."
We request that you please provide us with proof of your child's or children's flu vaccination. Please call me (458-9582 x1310) with questions related to where and how to receive the immunization.
Please call the Superintendent's office at 413-458-9582 with questions related to medical or religious exemptions.
Thank you for all you do to keep our community and our children and staff healthy during these challenging times.
Nichole Russell, RN
