Digital Learning at MGRS

Digital Learning is "learning facilitated by technology that gives students some element of control over time, place, path and/or pace." --Digital Learning Now! and the Florida Virtual School

The focus of the Chromebook 1:1 Program at Mount Greylock Regional School is to empower students to become fully active participants in the learning process. Through the Chromebook 1:1 Program initiative, students can acquire technological and critical thinking skills and will develop a sense of personal and social responsibility that will enable them to be successful in the world for which we are preparing them. Chromebooks transform teaching practices and encourage students to engage in problem-based learning and help them to realize that teaching and learning can occur anytime, anyplace.

Many teachers at MGRS use Canvas

Canvas is a web-based learning management system, or LMS. It is used by learning institutions, educators, and students to access and manage online course learning materials and communicate about skill development and learning achievement.

Canvas includes a variety of customizable course creation and management tools, course and user analytics and statistics, and internal communication tools.
