This year's Open House comes slightly early in the month. We wanted to schedule it when there would be few conflicts with other Mount Greylock activities. Parents and Guardians are invited to follow their children's schedules for the chance to meet teachers and staff and learn more about their children's academic programs. Time is also set aside for middle school parents and guardians to meet with their children's grade teams. Before class rotation begins, school and community groups will share news at information tables.
Because of the school building project, we are living with constricted space, so this year, there will not be a full school meeting in advance of the simulated class rotation. That said, administrators, school counselors and other staff will be available in the corridors to speak with you. We are not able to provide childcare at this event; if possible, we encourage you not to bring your children.
Attached is a schedule including space for you to write down your children's Monday class schedule. We will have maps and PowerSchool schedules, but you may find recording the information more convenient and easier to follow.
2017 Open House Schedule
6:00 p.m. -- Doors open ~ opportunity to visit school clubs’ and community organizations’ information tables.
6:30 p.m. -- 7th grade parents will meet the 7th Grade Team in the Library
8th grade parents will meet the 8th Grade Team in the Cafeteria
7:00 p.m. -- High School & Middle School parents and guardians proceed to students’ first period classrooms, following a Monday schedule. Each class period will be ten minutes, and there will be four minutes to pass from one class to another. Periods 5 and 7 will not meet.
